James Hoang

With over a decade of experience in financial services and client care, James Hoang brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and empathy to his role at Coastal Advice Group. Originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, and now proudly Australian, James holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance from Macquarie University. He has built a diverse career across wealth management, client remediation, and insurance. His past roles have equipped him with deep industry insight and a customer-first mindset. 

James is known for his calm, considered approach and his ability to simplify even the most complex client issues. His background in corporate and client-facing environments gives him a unique ability to bridge communication between advisers and clients with clarity and care.  

What I love about adviser support, James says, is being the dependable link behind the scenesmaking sure nothing gets missed and ensuring clients feel valued, understood, and looked after from start to finish.

Outside of work, James is a passionate tennis player, avid traveller, and devoted husband and father to two young sons, Ted and Thomas. When he’s not chasing family adventures or cheering for Manchester United, you’l find him planning his next foodie trip, especially if it involves tracking down the best ramen in Tokyo. Grounded by his values of community, education, and well-being, James brings not only technical expertise to his role but a deep sense of purpose in helping others succeed.
