Michael Clarke: Meet Your Mortgage Broker

Michael Clarke is the Senior Broker for Coastal Mortgage Group

He began his career in 1979, commencing work at the Rural Bank of NSW in Lismore/Ballina. By 2003, he became a self-employed small business consultant and broker, establishing his own Lending and Finance business in beautiful Port Macquarie. Throughout his career, Michael has earned numerous qualifications and achievements, including a Diploma in Financial Markets, numerous certifications in consumer credit and commercial lending, and recognition as a Commercial Loan Writer finalist by the MFAA.

Michael’s dedication to ethical business practices was recognized in 2014 when his prior business received the Port Macquarie Small Business Award for Ethics in Business.

In recent years, Michael has continued to engage in community and professional activities. He acted as an MC for a Motor Neurone Disease fundraiser, took on the role of Treasurer for Voices of Lyne, and presented affordable housing strategies to the Port Macquarie Hastings Council forum. In 2022, he began volunteering with Make a Difference (MAD) to provide food to Port Macquarie’s homeless population. Michael’s extensive career and unwavering commitment to his community exemplify his leadership and dedication to both professional and personal growth.
