Kristy Coulin

Senior Financial Adviser

Few people have been as big a part of our story than Maitland-born Kristy Coulin. A former Client Service and Office Manager turned Financial Adviser; Kristy has been a part of the business since its inception and has been in the financial advice industry for 20 years.

It’s this depth of experience that serves her well in her present role as Financial Adviser. “I’ve been supporting clients for years, walking them through things and taking care of all their paperwork.” It was a natural progression for her to assist in the financial guidance of clients more directly.

Kristy is highly accomplished, having been recognised by licensee RI Advice Group twice, winning both Support Staff Member of the Year and Rising Star of the Year during her career.

In addition to her years of service, Kristy is also dedicated to continuously expanding her knowledge base having completed a Bachelor of Business, Diploma of Financial Services, as well as speciality courses in SMSF and Direct Equities. She is currently working on completing her Graduate Diploma of Financial Services.

For Kristy, who is innately attentive to the needs of others, a big appeal is the benefit she can help bring to people’s lives. Kristy takes the time to really determine what people want to achieve, and what their starting position is. It might be helping them assess their eligibility for the pension, restructuring their super for better outcomes, or downsizing strategies.

She derives great satisfaction in making people content about what’s happening and involved in the process. “With many people, particularly pre-retirees and retirees, they just want someone to simplify their lives and take away the stress,” says Kristy. “A little knowledge is dangerous and without the right advice it’s possible to make mistakes with huge ramifications – I’m there to make sure this doesn’t happen.”

As ever, trust is key. “You’re taking people’s life savings into your hands. They need to feel you’re doing the right things. If you’re doing it with their best interests at heart, you can’t go wrong.

In her personal time, Kristy enjoys long weekends with her husband Adam at their holiday home in Forster or experimenting with new recipes (with a glass of wine in hand).
